Some aggrieved customers of Menzgold have indicated they will be joining the planned May 9, #FixTheCountry demonstration which has now been restrained by a court order.

This was contained in a statement released by the Coalition of Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold Ghana. The statement said the group will join the planned demonstration “on Sunday May 9, 2021 and or any other agreed date.”

According to the group, they have taken the decision in order to “add our voice to the unacceptable deaths and deteriorating lives of members which is as a result of bad leadership.”

The statement which was signed by Fred Forson, Public Relations Officer of the group called on all of its members to come out in their numbers to the join he demonstration.

The #FixTheCountry is a movement that began on twitter by Ghanaians, mostly youth, demanding the economy is put right. They are also demanding that other challenges such as the power outages, water shortage, unemployment among others are fixed.

However, the Ghana Police Service has secured a restraining order against the demonstration. This means that, it is unlikely to come off as planned.
