    Akufo-Addo vows to rebuild Appiatse despite seeming difficulty

    President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says the rebuilding of the Appiatse township remains a sine qua non for him.

    His vow, however, comes after some experts say the level of destruction of the explosion may make the town uninhabitable.


    Sports Minister absolves Black Star players of blame

    The Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustafa Ussif, says the abysmal performance of the Black Stars at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations is the fault solely of the technical committee of the team.

    He told Parliament on Wednesday that the team individually had no problem except its technical handling.


    Kofi Konadu Apraku declares interest to lead NPP in 2024

    Former Member of Parliament and minister of state Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku wants to contest the flagbearership race of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) again.

    He said he will pick forms ahead of the presidential primary.


    Ghana’s bird flu cases alarming; Agric Ministry concerned

    The Minister of Food and Agriculture has indicated that Avian flu seems to be spreading rapidly across the country despite efforts by government to control the situation.

    Dr Akoto Afriyie Owusu says new regions have recorded the disease while regions already battling it are recording new cases on farms.


    Kissi Agyebeng blamed for Ghana’s corruption rating

    The Office of Special Prosecutor’s inability to prosecute and conclude a single case since its establishment some three years ago has been blamed for Ghana’s no-change rating on the global corruption index.

    The blame was levelled by pressure group Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability (ASEPA) in a press release on Wednesday, January 26.


    65th independence anniversary to be marked in Cape Coast

    This year’s independence anniversary celebration is scheduled to be held at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

    This is part of a decision to rotate the celebrations across the country.
