Member of Parliament for Assin Central Kennedy Agyapong has accused some banks of leaking account details of some ministers of state and other officials.
In his view, that may explain how some people have decided to keep their large money at home.
Speaking in an interview with Roland Walker on TV3 Wednesday, August 16 in relation to the issue of former Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Dapaah who kept large amount of money at her residence, Mr Agyapong who is an aspiring flagbearer of the New Patirotic Party (NPP) said “we cannot run away from it. I know there will be backlash but God knows I have spoken the truth.
“When Victoria Hammah said If ‘I make one million dollars’, look at the backlash Ghanains gave. The one who said, if I make, got this backlash then what about the one who has it?”
He further said he has a business and the banks are aware of that so they wouldn’t ask questions he sent his money to the bank however there are others who will be questioned if they send money to the bank
“The banks leak information that this minister has this amount of money at home,” he alleged.
