The Director of Communications of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah, said that the Cedi will no longer fall against the major trading currencies especially the Dollar should the flagbearer of the NPP, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia be elected president this year.

He explained that a Bawumia administration would leverage the mineral resource, gold, to shore up the strength of the Cedi.

“Be Bold with Bawumia. He will use our gold to back the cedi to make it stable. This is a Bold solution to stabilize the cedi. Depreciation will be a thing of the past because the cedi will be sufficiently stable under Bawumia.

“I pledge to be bold with Bawumia. Have you?” he wrote on his X platform on Tuesday, April 16.

Mr Ahiagbh further called on Ghanains to reject the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and their flagbearer former President John Dramani Mahama.

“Let’s take a bold step towards progress with Bawumia as our leader. Let’s reject any idea of regression and embrace the promise of sustainable economic growth, employment opportunities, and expedited development.

“With Bawumia at the helm, Ghana can strive towards a brighter future. It’s Possible. Stay away from the NDC that offers nothing but fear in the guise of improvement. Let’s not be deceived. Instead, let’s vote for Bawumia and the NPP, the team that can genuinely deliver on their promises. It’s Possible,” he said.
