Some of the yout [L] and the locked office of the DCE [R]The ringleader of an NPP youth group in Karaga, Alhassan Fuseini has threatened to kill the embattled DCE for Karaga District in the Northern region, Alhassan Yabdow if they set eyes on him. The rampaging youth aligned to the governing party chased out the District Chief Executive and the Youth Employment Agency Coordinator from their offices on Wednesday morning. Alhassan Fuseini has confirmed to Onua News that the keys to the DCE’s offices are in his possession. He vowed to kill the DCE like it was done to the Nkwanta South DCE, Peter Kwadwo Keyenso in the Volta region. The DCE was shot dead in 2014 but his assailants are yet to be apprehended. Fuseini appeared unconcerned when his attention was drawn to the fact that taking another person’s life was a criminal offence. Meanwhile, the Karaga youth have accused their DCE and the Youth Employment Agency Coordinator, Abdul Rahaman Alhassan of not working with the constituency chairman Tahiru Zakaria, and have also been giving jobs to persons believed to be affiliated to opposition parties. The youth, who claimed the DCE has caused the arrest of some of their members when his office was locked, forcibly went to the police station to free their colleagues. Mr Fuseini told Onua News they went that far because they had already informed the police of their intention to close the DCE’s office, therefore the arrest of their friends was “unlawful”.
