The executive committee of the Parent Teacher Association of Zebilla Senior High Technical School has donated a pick up vehicle to authorities of the school to facilitate teaching and learning.
Valued at GHC128,847, the vehicle was presented to the school with other items worth GHC5,095.
Chairman of the PTA, Atiah Kudugu, who presented the vehicle to the school, urged the authorities and students to ensure regular maintenance of the vehicle to ensure its lifespan.
Headmaster of the school Mr. Richard Ayabilla Akumb, expressed appreciation to the PTA for their kind gesture and pledged to put it to good use. The vehicle, he said, will be at the disposal of the school, teachers and students.
He assured them of regular maintenance of vehicle, noting that maintenance culture in Ghana with respect to public assets have been ignored over the years.
Mr Ayabilla Akumb noted about 80% of the teachers in the school do not live on campus, something he said was affecting teaching and learning as well as makes controlling students a difficult task.
He appealed to the PTA to still continue with their goods works, and urged other organisations to support them with teacher accommodation.
