Zanetor Rawlings wants gym in parliament

The Member of Parliament for Klottey Korley in the Greater Accra region, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman Rawlings is calling for the construction of a gym in parliament to help legislators de-stress after long sitting hours. She made this request when she contributed to statement on the floor of the house to commemorate the World Kidney Day, which falls on Thursday, March 9. Dr. Zanetor Rawlings, who is a medical doctor by profession, told colleague Members of Parliament that “the extended sitting hours do have effect on our muscular skeletal system”. After close of business, she argued that members should “be given the opportunity to go the gym so that we can actually make up for the time that we spent sitting”.
