Wegeiwor drops new single, 'M Pag Ya'

Ghanaian Gospel Singer, Wegeiwor’s, unique style of exploring lyrics from indigenous languages from Northern Ghana (where she hails from) is wholesomely nourishing.

Wegeiwor is championing an initiative to make the dozens of Northern Ghanaian languages (more) audible through God’s work by preaching to the masses through Gospel music.

Her latest song, ‘M Pag Ya’ released via Distrokid on Sunday, May 22, 2022, explores Dagbanli (a dialect spoken by Dagombas from the Northern Region of Ghana). It outlines attributes that describe the supremacy of God.

Some parts of the lyrics she shares with us have some of these powerful attributes, such as;

Tobbia Nawuni (God Our warrior)

Tiligira Nawuni( God Our Deliverer)

Faara Nawuni (God Our Savior)

M Pag Ya (I’m Grateful)

Kpienlana Nawuni (God Almighty)

yikolana Nawuni (God The Supreme One)

lagazibu Nawuni (God Of Wonders)

M Pag Ya (I’m Grateful)
