Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah has pleaded with the fans of the club for forgiveness following their unimpressive performance in the ongoing season.
The Porcupine Warriors have struggled to find their feet this season which has resulted in the sack of coach Seydou Zerbo after taking over from Prosper Narteh Ogum who led the team to the Ghana Premier League glory last season
The defending champions have a limited chance of retaining the Ghana Premier League title, trailing by eight points to Aduana Stars, who lead the log with 52 points with four matches to end the season.
They could end without a trophy having suffered elimination from the CAF Champions League and the FA Cup as well.

“I will thank Kotoko fans for the support thus far, without them we wouldn’t have been where we are. We are sorry for the disappointment this season. Regardless of everything, we need their support because a friend in need is a friend indeed. We will plead with them to have patience with us and the players. It is painful,” Nana Yaw Amponsah told Oyerepa FM.
They are currently in sixth place with 44 points after 30 games and have failed to win any of their last three matches in the competition.
They will engage Kotoku Royals in their next fixture at Dawu Park.
