Minister for Inner City and Zongo Development Mustapha Abdul-Hamid has appealed to all security officers taking part in the special voting on Tuesday December 1, to vote for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The former Minister of Information said the Akufo-Addo administration has demonstrated over the years that the welfare of security officers is dear to the government.
He explained at a press conference in Accra on Monday November 30 that the security agencies were in a mess when the Akufo-Addo administration took over from the government.
However, he said, these challenges which include peacekeeping arrears, have been addressed.
To that end, he said, all the security officers should vote for the NPP to continue the good work by Mr Akufo-Addo.
He said “The kind of state we came to meet the military, police it was terrible. They will admit they we have been able to resolve them.”
The previous government owed them peace keeping arrears but we have paid all. I want them to look at these things and vote for Akufo-Addo.”
