Ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, FIFA has announced the release of the Semi-Automated Offside Technology, an invention which aims to help give more accurate and faster offside calls.
The invention has been tested in the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup and 2021 FIFA Club World Cup.
