Two police officers in robbery gang arrested at galamsey site

The Dunkwa District Police has arrested four men including two police officers for robbery at a galamsey site in Dunkwa-on-Offin in the Central Region.

The men were arrested on Monday, January 16 by mine workers and were nearly lynched but for the timely intervention of the District Police Command.

The officers as well as one of the two civilians are said to be stationed at Cape Coast Kotokuraba Police Station.

They are said to carry out their robbery activities at mining sites in Dunkwa-on-Offin.

Efforts to reach the Dunkwa Police Commander for confirmation proved futile.
