TV3 Talented Kidz has been adjudged the best television programme for the year 2018 at the prestigious Chartered Institute of Marketing awards.
For 10 years, the kids talent hunt programme has entertained, educated as well as helped unearth and shaped talents of several children some of who have become influential in and outside Ghana, including DJ Switch.
Audience of the children show refers to it as the ultimate Kids programme on airways which goes beyond entertainment.
The award sets the bar higher in kids’ entertainment on television today.
Head of entertainments, Events and Lifestyle, Kenneth Nana Addo and business desk journalist Ebenezer Agyekum-Boateng picked up the award at the award in Accra Friday on behalf of Media General.
Mr Addo noted the CIMG TV programme of the year 2018 has been an icing on the cake for all the kids in the country.
“It’s a great honour and a pleasure to be here tonight. TV3’s Talented Kidz has over the years done tremendously well, unearthing great talents. We want to first dedicate this award to all the talented kids in Ghana and for those who won the competition and those who are yet to win” he said.
He described the show as a multi-talented one.
He touted some great features of TV3 Talented Kidz show, noting the programme not only offer platforms for the kids but also provides mentors and counselors for contestants to ensure they get the best and also are properly psyched.
“Sometimes when the kids are not psychological ready, they counsel them…By the end of the competition, we can see growth and maturity in these kids,” he added.
