They came, they saw, but were unable to triumph in the competition as Season five of TV3’s Celebrations draws near its final.
This is the story of the AB-Crew, who were evicted from the competition last Sunday.
Although the group put up quite a performance on Sunday with ASP Kofi Sarpong’s Medley of African Borborbor, the group could not continue with the competition as the eviction axe fell on them.
AB-Crew becomes the fifth group to exit the competition this year, leaving five remaining groups to battle for the coveted prize.
Sunday’s performance was old school themed, and contestants were expected to perform some old local tunes from some veteran gospel musicians in the country.
All contestants took turns to perform their respective songs while thrilling studio audience and viewers to some old tunes, while bringing back nostalgic memories from the good old days.
OK thrilled fans to KODA and Uncle Ato’s ‘Mobo wo dzi’,while Psalters performed ‘Kwankyerefo’ by Cindy Thompson.

At the end of the night, Chord, who performed ‘Odor Fita’ by Kofi Agyekum, emerged as Best Performing Group.

Royalty was also adjudged Best Costumed Group at the end of the night.
The competition continues as the stakes get higher with just a few weeks to the end.

The remaining groups, ETW, Royalty, Chord, OK and Psalters, are still in the run for the ultimate prize.
