The Member of Parliament for Tema East, Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus -Glover has lost his seat in the just-ended December elections.
The Deputy Minister of Transport managed to poll 31,956 of the votes where as Nii Ashia Odamten, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate had 41,692.
Meanwhile, the parliamentary candidate of the NDC in the Ablekuma South Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije who also won his seat has said he is expecting Mr Mahama to win this year’s elections.
Speaking to journalists after the officials of the Electoral Commission (EC) announced him as the winner, he said he is expects Mr Mahama to also win.
“I look forward to the election of my president candidate John Dramani as the president of the republic of Ghana,” he said.
