Teenager wins Ghana first Gold medal at 2019 All Africa Games

Ghana’s Rose Amoanimaa Yeboah won Gold in High Jump on Tuesday at the ongoing All Africa Games in Rabat, Morocco. It is the first gold medal for the nation, coming a day after the nation bagged her first four medals.. Weightlifter Winnifred Ntumi won three Bronze medals for Ghana on Monday before David Akwei also won a Bronze medal in men’s Weightlifting 61kg. Rose Yeboah, 17, made a high jump of 1.84 to beat local favourite Siba Rhizlane and Ethiopia’s Ubang Ariyat Dibow, who made jumps of 1.81 to tie at the Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex. Ghana could have won more medals on the tracks but Joseph Paul Amoah and Sean Sarfo-Antwi missed out in the 100m finals, placing fourth and fifth respectively.
