All surgeries at the Tamale Central Hospital have been suspended until further notice, 3news.com has gathered.
The decision was taken by the Specialist Surgeon and communicated to the Medical Superintendent following criticisms in the media as patients have been made to buy almost all consumables for their operation the past weeks
According to a memo intercepted by 3news.com, the Hospital has run short of essential supplies and water.
“Surgeries will resume as soon as supplies are provided,” the memo insisted.
The decision takes effect from Thursday, December 23.
