As part of the commemoration of the Christmas festivities, Stichting New Smile Foundation has presented various items to needy people in Bodom, Busunya and Mempeasem communities in the NKoranza District of the Bono East Region.
The main aim of the presentation was part of efforts of the foundation to distribute food and sanitary items to the needy in rural communities across Ghana, in line with its objective of bringing smiles to the faces of the needy, particularly, in this festive season.
The objective of the Foundation is to assist their livelihood, including the provision of basic amenities needed for their daily survival.
The Foundation’s primary intent is to provide support in cash and in kind to the needy and vulnerable in rural areas.
It is also looking beyond the provision of food items to building a stable future for widows, single parents, and the physically challenged in society.
The donation was also part of the Foundation’s efforts to extend a helping hand to the needy, particularly, disabled, widow and single parents in rural communities.
The beneficiaries received antiseptic soaps, 2 bags of rice, tin fish (mackerel), Sardines, vegetable oil, spaghetti, toilet rolls, bread, beverages, tomatoes and other provisional items.
Addressing beneficiaries through a WhatsApp video call, the CEO of Stichting New Smiles Foundation, Evelyn Adjei, noted the most vulnerable people in the society are widows, physically challenged orphans and single parents.
The CEO assured the recipients that the Foundation will continue to extend their support to them and other needy people in rural communities across Ghana.
The beneficiaries, in turn, expressed gratitude to the Foundation and appealed for the gesture to continue.
