Stars outshine lowly Asokwa Deportivo 6-1 in warm-up game

The Black Stars climaxed their preparations for Sunday’s Nations Cup qualifier against Ethiopia with a training match with Asokwa Deportivo on Wednesday. The warm-up game was played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. The 2017 Africa Cup of Nations semi-finalists beat the Division One side 6-1 at full time. Jordan Ayew opened the score in the first half after connecting to a Samuel Sarfo’s cross. Two goals each from Abdul-Majeed Warris and Raphael Dwamena and a goal from Frank Acheampong were enough to seal victory for the Stars. The consolation by Deportivo came in spectacular fashion after the striker scored from a tight angle. Richard Ofori manned the post for the Stars while the likes of Harrison Afful, Thomas Partey, Daniel Amartey and John Boye featured prominently. Source: 3news.com|Ghana  ]]>
