Some disappointment fans of Adisco

With 22 points in the first round, Adisco amassed three more points in the second round and four out of 10 points in the Problem of the Day to lift hopes of exorcising the spirit of last year's loss to Prempeh and St Thomas Aquinas.

But WASS's performance in the popular ‘True or False' section sent them straight on top.

It was going to be a history-making win for the Adenta-based side, who had ousted the champions at the semi-final stage.

But they were undone by the riddles, though answering the first one correctly.

Persco picked the second and third to leapfrog the Greater Accra Region side.

WASS would have become the second mixed school after to have lifted the trophy if they had won today's fierce contest. Again, a win for them would have made them second school to Day school after St. Thomas Aquinas to have won the trophy.

By their win, the side takes home a total of GHC70,000 among scholarships for the contestants.

WASS go home with a total of GHC50,000.
