Morocco have undoubtedly proven to be the surprise package of the 2022 World Cup as they made history.

They beat Portugal 1-0 at Al Thumama Stadium to become the first African country to reach the World Cup semi-finals.

Having succeeded in becoming the fourth African side, to reach the last eight of the tournament after Cameroon, Senegal and Ghana, the Atlas Lions went a further step to reach the last four and will be aiming for the final on Wednesday against France.

Walid Regragui’s men have not only raised eyebrows with their significant wins over teams like Belgium, Spain and Portugal but have also managed to be the best defensive side so far after conceding only a goal throughout.
