Women’s FA Cup: Ampem Darkoa Ladies beat Hasaacas Ladies 1-0 to clinch title

Techiman-based side Ampem Darkoa Ladies have beaten Hasaacas Ladies 1-0 to get their hands on the 2021/22 Women’s FA Cup trophy in Kumasi on Sunday.

Comfort Yeboah’s penalty separated the two team as Ampem Darkoa charged on to their second trophy this season after earlier beating Hasaacas Ladies on penalties to win the Women’s Premier League (WPL) title.

The WPL winners started brightly and were rewarded just 18 minutes in after a poor tackle triggered a penalty decision from the referee.

Yeboah made no mistake from the spot, giving her team the much needed advantage.

Despite creating some chances in the first and second halves, Hasaacas Ladies were unable to mount a comeback.

Ampem Darkoa have already secured a place in next season’s CAF Women’s Champions League and the victory will give them confidence as they start preparations for the competition.
