Bechem United coach Kasim Mingle has expressed dissatisfaction with how the Ghana Premier League ended for his club.

The Hunters saw Medeama SC emerge victorious on the final day becoming the 12th team to ever win it while beating off competition from Kasim Mingle’s men—the only other side which stood a chance of winning on the final day.

Prior to the final days of the competitions, Bechem United were one of the most consistent sides which mounted pressure on Aduna Stars the initial leaders of the table but from nowhere, Medeama erupted and eventually achieved a historic feat of ending a 46-year Ghana Premier League title drought of the Western region.

Elsewhere, Bechem succumbed to a narrow defeat to 10-man Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park which dashed any hopes of winning the title.

Kasim Mingle, however, believes, his team, played well throughout the season and should have been champions.

“It’s unfortunate we couldn’t win. The way we played we thought we would have won.

“This season we played better than last season and should have won the league,” the Bechem United coach said.

Bechem United who went into the final day three points adrift of Medeama and sitting second, ended the season in the third position behind Aduana Stars who managed the second spot.
