WAFU Women's Cup: Queens beat B Faso for place in semis

Ghana’s Black Queens are preparing for the 2018 African Women’s Cup of Nations
The Black Queens beat their counterparts from Burkina Faso on Sunday to book a place in the semi-finals of the ongoing WAFU Women’s Cup. Captain Portia Boakye clinched a brace while Priscilla Okyere and Grace Asantewaa also scored for the Queens. Ghana had lost the opening game to host Cote d’Ivoire but bounced back strongly to beat Niger 9-0 in their second game. The win over Burkina Faso puts Ghana into the penultimate stage to play either Nigeria or Mali. Cote d’Ivoire also kept their unbeaten record in the championship after a 6-0 win over Niger to top Group A. Source: editors.3news.com|Ghana
