US-based Ghanaian boxer dares 'blind bat' Bastie Samir

Gbenga says Bastie showed no skill in his win over Bukom Banku
US-based Ghanaian boxer Michael Gbenga Emla has challenged Bastie Samir for a bout after the latter beat popular boxer Braimah Kamoko, alias ‘Bukom Banku, over the weekend. Michael Gbenga Emla, who suffered his first career loss to Bukom Banku back in April 2005, had a message for Bastie Samir before ‘Doobia’ defeated Bukom Banku on Saturday: “Is that a set up for Bastie-Gbenga?” In a non-title bout scheduled for 12 rounds, Bastie produced the performance of his career to end Bukom’s undefeated record by stopping him in the 7th round at the fully packed Bukom Boxing Arena on Saturday night. Moment after the bout, which saw Bastie destabilize Bukom Banku, Emla took to his Facebook page with the congratulatory message. The promoters say their attention has been drawn to the Facebook post by Gbenga. They say they are searching for Michael Gbenga Emla to face Bastie soon in the next bout of the century. Speaking to Onua FM in an interview, boxing promoter Michael Nii Yarboi Annan said: “We are working on Gbenga who has already started bragging on Facebook”.
