New Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho won his first game in charge after leading the North Londoners to a 3-2 win at West Ham United. It was a match to savour for Spurs fans as the controversial Portuguese manager was named as replacement to Mauricio Pochettino on Wednesday. The former Chelsea and Manchester United boss, who has also coached Real Madrid and Inter Milan, signed a contract to keep him at Tottenham Hotspur till the 2022/23 season. Before taking over, the team had not won in their last five games in the English Premier League. But Mourinho pulled the needed win despite a late surge from the Hammers. Goals from Son Heung-min, Lucas Moura and captain Harry Kane made sure that last-gasp goals from Michail Antonio and Angelo Ogbonna did not stop Spurs from picking maximum points. Mourinho’s next assignment will be in the UEFA Champions League against Greek side Olympiacos on Tuesday. Saturday’s away win keeps the Londoners in 6th position. Source: 3news.com|Ghana ]]>
