Medeama produced an impressive comeback against CR Belouizdad in the CAF Champions League, overcoming a goal deficit to win 2-1 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

The Ghanaian champions showed resilience and determination, with Kamaradini Mamudu scoring the winning goal in stoppage time.

Belouizdad took the lead through a penalty kick in the 39th minute after Ishak Talal Boussouf was fouled inside the box. However, Medeama quickly responded just before halftime with a well-taken free-kick from Kamaradini Mamudu that was redirected into the net by Daniel Lomotey.

The second half saw both teams create chances, with Medeama’s Derrick Fordjour coming close to scoring in the 85th minute only to be denied by a brilliant save from Alexis Guendouz. But it was Mamudu who sealed the victory for Medeama deep into injury time, heading home a cross from Kwadwo Amoako.

This win marks a turnaround for Medeama following their 3-0 loss to Al Ahly in their opening match. With three points now under their belt, they look forward to hosting Young Africans SC in their next fixture.
