Ghanaian side Asante Kotoko would have to battle past Cameroonian giants Coton Sport of Garoua for a place in the group phase of the 2018/2019 CAF Confederation Cup. The two African giants were drawn to slug it out in the play-offs at a ceremony held in Egypt on Friday. Kotoko were one of the 15 clubs who progressed from the first round of qualifiers in the continent’s second-tier club competition. The Porcupine Warriors saw off Kenya’s Kariobangi Sharks 2-1 on aggregate to get to this stage. The Cameroonians, on the other hand, had failed to make it to the group stage of the CAF Champions League. They were beaten 3-2 on aggregate by Egyptian giants Ismaily. The first leg of the play-off will be in Garoua on January 12 while the second leg will be played in Kumasi on January 20. By Emmanuel Kwame Amoh|editors.3news.com|Ghana Follow @kwame_amoh
