Karela United head coach Evans Adotey will not be in the dugout for the rest of the season.

This is because Adotey has agreed to step aside for health reasons, the club announced.

“Management of the club has reached an agreement with Coach Evans Adotey to step aside for the remainder of the season on health grounds… We wish him well,” the club tweeted.

The announcement comes barely 24 hours after the club’s shock 4-1 defeat against Ebusua Dwarfs in Elmina.

Karela are playing their home games away from Aiyinase due to an indefinite ban on the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park after their fans assaulted Medeama players.

With three matches to end the season, Karela are two points adrift of the top four as they occupy the 7th position on the Ghana Premier League table.
