Ghana’s strongest: Athletes talk tough ahead of final showdown

The four finalists of Ghana’s strongest season 11 on Saturday shared their mood ahead of the final.

Ebenezer Amos (Chilling), Bright Appiah (SWAT), Prosper Dakora and Godfred Akobila expressed confidence in winning the title on Sunday.

They had this to say on TV3’s WarmUp Plus show.

“I’m very excited to be in the final for the first time. I’m not scared. Others being in the final before doesn’t mean they will win it,” Ebenezer Amos, a first-time finalist said.

“The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) [supports me]. The military, the prisons and all the security agencies are strongly behind me,” Bright Appiah, known as SWAT countered.

“I’m feeling good. I love participating in this game and I’ll keep doing it. This is my third time in the final and this time around, I’m prepared to come out with the victory,” a confident Prosper stated.

“I’m feeling quite well, quite confident and excited [ahead of the final]. I started this journey [gym] in 2014. It’s something I love and I don’t regret it,” Godfred Akobila added.

The final is set to take place on Sunday, July 3 at Obra Spot, Accra.
