Defender Joseph Aidoo will be absent from Ghana’s upcoming international friendly against the United States of America due to an ankle injury.

The Celta Vigo player sustained the injury during the international friendly against Mexico, hobbling off in the 27th minute and being replaced by Alidu Seidu.

After undergoing further medical examinations by the team’s doctors, it has been confirmed that Aidoo suffered ankle tendon damage, necessitating immediate treatment to facilitate his return to action.

The player is scheduled to return to his club in Spain for additional medical care.

Joseph Aidoo, formerly of Inter Allies, has represented Ghana in 12 international matches, making his debut in March 2019.
