Ghanaians urge Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo to join Black Stars

Kobbie Mainoo

Ghanaians are eagerly urging Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo to join the Black Stars after the 18-year-old excelled on his Premier League debut on Sunday.

Mainoo’s impressive performance in United’s 3-0 win over Everton has sparked widespread admiration, with many hailing him as a future star.

Manchester United legend Gary Neville was among those impressed, describing Mainoo’s display as “outstanding.” Bruno Fernandes, a teammate of Mainoo’s, named him his Man of the Match, highlighting the teenager’s composure, quality, and vision on the field.

Born in England to Ghanaian parents, Mainoo is eligible to represent both countries at the international level. While he could potentially play for England, many Ghanaians are hoping he will choose to don the white jersey of the Black Stars instead.

Social media platforms are filled with appeals to Mainoo, encouraging him to consider representing Ghana.
