Zamalek has landed in Kumasi in anticipation of their upcoming clash against Dreams FC in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Touching down on Thursday, the Egyptian giants have arrived well in advance of Sunday’s match at the Baba Yara Stadium, affording them ample time to prepare for this crucial fixture.

With the first leg of the semifinal ending in a goalless draw, both teams find themselves in a position to determine their fate in the competition’s second leg. Dreams FC will secure qualification with any victory, while a scoring draw will be enough for the former champions to progress to the final.

Dreams FC boast an impressive record in Kumasi, having remained undefeated with three wins and a draw, the latter obtained in their recent encounter with Stade Malien. Despite the 1-1 result, Dreams FC secured their place in the last four because they won 2-1 in Bamako.

However, Dreams FC will need to be at their peak performance to overcome Zamalek, who demonstrated dominance in the first leg, creating numerous scoring opportunities. With over 20 goal attempts, Zamalek kept Dreams FC goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi busy, forcing him to make six saves as the reigning Ghanaian FA Cup champions narrowly avoided defeat.

In terms of officiating, Alhadji Allaou Mahamat from Chad has been appointed as the centre referee by CAF.

Sanusi Mohammed from Nigeria will serve as the Match Commissioner, while Chukwudi Callistus Chukwujekwu, also from Nigeria, will be the Referee Assessor.

Kabelo Bosilong from South Africa will act as the General Coordinator, and Juliet Bawuah from Ghana will take on the role of Media Officer.

Security operations will be overseen by Olawumi Adisa from Nigeria, with Dahane Beida from Mauritania and Ahmad Imtehaz Heeralal from Mauritius serving as the Video Assistant Referee and Assistant Video Assistant Referee, respectively.

The match is scheduled for a 16:00 kick-off.
