The season has not gone according to plan – Legon Cities Communications Director

Kwame Dwomoh, the Communications Director of Legon Cities, has reflected on the club’s tumultuous season that culminated in their relegation from the Ghana Premier League.

Following a 4-1 defeat to Nations FC on Monday, Legon Cities’ fate was sealed, with the team set to drop to Ghana’s Division One after years of top-flight competition.

In an interview with 3Sports, Dwomoh acknowledged the season’s challenges, stating, “This season has been a tough one, the results have not gone according to plan. We had very high hopes at the start of the season but the results have simply not been great.”

Although relegation was confirmed with three games to spare, Dwomoh refrained from attributing the team’s struggles to a single issue.

“I wouldn’t pinpoint a specific problem, but ultimately, it comes down to results,” he added, highlighting the complexity of factors that contributed to the team’s underperformance.

As Legon Cities prepares to navigate the Division One league, Dwomoh’s comments underscore the need for introspection and strategic planning to reclaim their spot in the top flight.

With a new chapter ahead, Legon Cities will look to regroup and rebuild, determined to bounce back stronger.
