Dreams FC coach Abdul Karim Zito is wary of the threat posed by Stade Malien in their CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinal tie.

Despite progressing from the group stages as group winners, Zito’s past experience with the Malian side has made him cautious.

“At the start, I think I played them before when I was with King Faisal. I think they beat me 1-0, and then we played a goalless draw in Sunyani, and they qualified. But I know it is a big club. I rate it along with Kotoko and Hearts of Mali,” Zito stated on GPLXpress.

While acknowledging the challenge presented by the 2009 competition champions, the experienced coach is prepared for the task ahead.

“I know I’m going to face a big task, and I have to be ready for it. I will do everything possible to secure a good result there and make the return leg a bit easier when they come home.”

Dreams FC will hold their official training session at 5 pm at the Stade du 26 mars in Bamako on Saturday evening ahead of the first leg on Sunday evening.

The return leg is scheduled for next Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
