Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has hailed the pivotal role played by Antoine Semenyo and other substitutes in their recent 1-0 triumph over Crystal Palace in the English Premier League.

Antoine Semenyo who climbed off the bench after the break combined with Justin Kluivert, another substitute to score the only goal on Tuesday night propelling the Cherries to their 11th win of the season.

The victory not only extends Bournemouth’s unbeaten streak to five matches but also showcases the team’s ability to secure crucial wins in tight contests.

Justin Kluivert’s 79th-minute goal, assisted by Semenyo, proved to be the decisive moment in the match.

Speaking after the game, Iraola emphasised the significance of the substitutes’ contributions, highlighting their injection of energy and game-changing abilities.

He particularly praised Semenyo, Kluivert, and other players for their crucial roles in securing the win.

“In the second half, a probably more open contest and in the end Antoine and Justin they made the difference…the subs gave us more energy. Milos, Antoine, Justin, even Max (Aarons) to close the game and it’s good because we are finishing strong, scoring goals late, and we have to continue,” Iraola stated.

Semenyo’s assist to Kluivert further underlines his importance to the team’s attacking prowess.

With seven league goals and two assists this season in the Premier League, Semenyo continues to be a key figure for Bournemouth.

The victory over Crystal Palace underscores Bournemouth’s resilience and ability to perform under pressure. With the team’s late-game performance proving decisive, Bournemouth remains in contention for a strong finish in the league. After 30 games, they currently sit 11th with 40 points.
