Nsoatreman FC, the newly crowned Ghana FA Cup champions, have expressed their trust in Maxwell Konadu to guide their upcoming African continental campaign.

The club secured their maiden FA Cup title in the 2023/24 season, defeating Bofoakwa Tano in a thrilling 5-4 penalty shootout. This victory earned the Amanaso Boys, a spot in the 2024/25 CAF Confederation Cup, marking their first foray into continental competition.

Maxwell Konadu’s recent success in clinching his first FA Cup trophy has bolstered the club’s confidence in his ability to lead them in Africa.

The management of Nsoatreman FC values Konadu’s previous experience in continental competitions.

Eric Alagidede, the club’s general manager, affirmed their faith in Konadu, stating to 3Sports: “He will indeed lead us in Africa. We have great confidence in Maxwell. With a year remaining on his contract, we’re certain he’ll successfully guide us through this campaign.”

This remarkable achievement comes in only Nsoatreman FC’s second season in Ghana’s top-flight football. The club has shown impressive progress, not only securing their first major trophy but also finishing fifth in the Ghana Premier League with a commendable 50 points from 34 matches.

This rapid ascent from Premier League newcomers to FA Cup champions and continental competitors highlights the club’s ambition and potential.

As Nsoatreman FC prepares for their CAF Confederation Cup debut, their recent domestic success and faith in Maxwell Konadu’s leadership suggest they’re poised to make a significant impact on the African stage, despite their relative inexperience at this level.
