Mohammed Kudus has revealed FC Barcelona as his favorite childhood club indicating that the legendary Lionel Messi inspired his love for the club.

Kudus has been explosive for West Ham this season, and has been involved in 17 goals across all competitions, with many fans drawing parallels with his skill and that of the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Speaking in an interview with EAFC, Kudus admitted his love for Messi’s Barcelona, insisting that they were always his best side to watch.

“Which team did I like seeing growing up? Barcelona… What was it about them? Messi, easiest one.

Kudus is currently the player with the most dribbles in the Premier League and is one of the best players in England’s top flight this season.

He has achieved this accolades despite only joining the Hammers in the summer defying adaptation challenges.

Attaining Messi’s heights however may not sound realistic considering how good the ex-Barcelona captain was at his peak but Kudus, stremth and passion as well as his desire to win with his techno ability and skills is close to what Messi provides the beautiful game.

While Messi now plies his trade in the Major League Soccer in the United States of America, Kudus continues to focus on shining for the East London side with the hope of attaining higher feats with the many years ahead of him.
