GFA tells clubs to submit directors for Autonomous Premier League Board

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has reminded Premier League clubs to submit a Director to represent them on the Autonomous Premier League Board.

The Implementation Committee, chaired by His Majesty Togbe Afede XIV, has reiterated the need for each club to nominate a representative for the Autonomous Premier League Limited, which has already been registered as a company under Ghanaian law.

The committee has also opened official bank accounts for the league’s operations.

The GFA has officially handed over the running of the Autonomous Premier League to the clubs, with the current Implementation Committee members set to be replaced by directors from the 18 clubs.

This marks a crucial stage in the transition, and the Football Association is urging clubs to expedite the process to move the implementation forward.

The Autonomous Premier League is an initiative spearheaded by GFA President Kurt Okraku and endorsed by the Executive Council. While clubs have requested the GFA to continue managing the league, the transition to full autonomy remains the long-term objective.
