Former Ghana assistant coach George Boateng has undergone a coaching observation at Premier League side Manchester United.

The 48-year-old spent the past few days at Carrington observing the coaching methods used by Erik Ten Hag, Steve McClaren, Michell van der Gaag, Benni McCarthy, and Darren Fletcher.

During his observation, Boateng closely followed how the Red Devils set up games against Nottingham Forest, Manchester City, and Everton.

Boateng was part of the Black Stars technical team that was dissolved after the team was knocked out at the group stages of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.

He has since worked as a pundit with Sky Sports for the final of the AFCON and more recently observed the coaching methods at Manchester United.

Boateng has worked in England as the professional development coach of Aston Villa’s 18 side before being promoted to coach the under-23 team just over a year later.

As assistant coach of the Black Stars, the Ghanaian-born Dutch international helped the country qualify for the 2022 World Cup.
