Christopher Bonsu started his professional career with second-division club Accra Shooting Stars.

Bonsu did not have to wait an eternity before his breakthrough came.

Although previously trialling with elite clubs such as Borussia Dortmund, Midtjylland, Barcelona, and Manchester United, it was at Norwegian club Sarpsborg that signed the forward.

Signed with Sarpsborg 08 in the Norwegian Eliteserien in March 2023, Bonsu led the Norwegian league with 57 successful dribbles and created 10 chances during his stint – a testament of his trickery.

His performances earned him a spot on the prestigious 2023 Golden Boy longlist, putting him among the best young talents in Europe.

His flamboyance began to attract teams in Belgium.

Four months after joining Sarpsborg, he was on the move again.

Belgian Pro League side Genk acquired the services of the Ghanaian for a record fee of €5.2 million in July 2023.

At Genk, the Head of Football described him as “special” and likened him to Aston Villa forward Leon Bailey.

The 20-year-old has 3 goals and 3 assists for Genk in the current season.

On Friday, March 14, Baah attained the highest feat in his career yet.

The 20-year-old received his debut Black Stars call-up for World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.

Undoubtedly, the young talent’s embryonic  career has taken a huge uplift.
