Real Madrid’s new recruit, Dean Huijsen, has lavished praise on Ghana international Antoine Semenyo, lauding his impressive performance for AFC Bournemouth in the recently concluded campaign.
Semenyo’s outstanding display, which included 13 goals and seven assists in 47 appearances, has earned him recognition from Huijsen, who was Bournemouth’s Player of the Season.
This has been the Ghanaian’s best scoring season in the English top flight.
The Spanish international believes the former Bristol City striker is finally getting the respect he deserves, having possibly been underrated in the past.
“Genuinely, I think he’s getting more respect now,” Huijsen said. “Semenyo can do everything – he’s fast, physical, and good with both feet. He can dribble and shoot with both legs. As a right-back, you always have a tough day facing him.”
Semenyo’s impressive form has sparked interest from several top clubs, including Manchester United, Arsenal, and Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Huijsen’s own outstanding performance earned him a move to Real Madrid.
The former Juventus defender’s endorsement of Semenyo’s abilities adds to the Ghanaian’s growing reputation as a talented and versatile player.
