Didi Dramani calls for clear communication amid Kotoko’s restructuring

Former Asante Kotoko coach, Mas-ud Didi Dramani, has emphasised the need for transparency and clear communication to the club’s supporters amidst the ongoing developments in the team’s structure.

Following a disappointing Ghana Premier League season, where the club finished sixth, Asante Kotoko have offloaded 19 players and hinted at being active in the transfer market ahead of the new season. This significant overhaul has left some fans feeling unsatisfied and uncertain about the club’s direction, especially given the frequent turnover of players.

Didi Dramani, who led Asante Kotoko to consecutive Premier League titles in 2013 and 2014, highlighted the importance of giving players time to develop within the club, in addition to pursuing victories.

He stressed the necessity for the club’s leadership to effectively communicate their plans and vision to the supporters.

“Leadership and communication are crucial. Leadership involves establishing structures and effectively communicating these structures to the ordinary person on the ground,” Dramani told Asaase Radio.

He added, “The supporters who come to the stadium every week need to understand that we are currently undergoing a process of restructuring.”

Dramani’s call for clear communication comes at a pivotal time for Asante Kotoko, as the club looks to rebuild and improve its performance in the upcoming season.

Ensuring that fans are well-informed and engaged with the club’s plans he believes could foster a more supportive and cohesive environment as Kotoko navigates this period of transition.
