Dani Carvajal could become the defender with the most UEFA Champions League titles when Real Madrid take on Borussia Dortmund in the final on June 1, 2024.

The right-back has gone on to cement himself as one of Madrid’s greatest fullbacks in the last decade with a series of consistent performances and efficiency offensively and defensively for Los Blancos.

With five titles already to his name and after another massive Champions League night against Bayern Munich, Carvajal stands on the verge of his own unique place in history. A sixth European title at age 32.

A rarely mentioned footballer who has worked hard and risen through the ranks at Real Madrid, Carvajal was a part of the team’s La Decima winning team in 2014 and could secure his sixth title 10 years on.

He then played a crucial part in their treble-winning Champions League team under Zinedine Zidane between 2016 and 2018, while forming a remarkable partnership with Sergio Ramos, Raphaël Varane, and Marcelo in a formidable back four that tormented the sharpest attacks in Europe.

Also, He played his part in the final as Real won their 14th title two years ago. Locking down Liverpool’s blistering winger Luis Diaz with impeccable character in a spirited performance.

That title tied Dani Carvajal with Cristiano Ronaldo, Luca Modric and Karim Benzema on five Champions League titles.

A triumph on June 1 would leave him out as leader of the pack with an incredible haul of six Champions League titles. A remarkable feat for one of the most underrated yet successful defenders in the last decade and in this century.

Real Madrid are poised for glory, and although they face a confident Borussia Dortmund side, Los Blancos look the favorites to secure their 15th UEFA Champions League trophy.
