Vinicius Jr says Real Madrid are on course to reach another UEFA Champions League final after grabbing a brace in Los Blancos’ 2-2 stalemate with Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.

The Brazilian winger was decisive for Los Blancos as he scored the opener of the game off a soothing pass from Toni Kroos on the night, before grabbing the equaliser in the 84th minute to balance the score at the end of the match.

Addressing the media in a post-match interview regarding his individual display and Real Madrid’s prospects in the Champions League this campaign, Vinicius conveyed his assurance in his team’s ability to deliver at the Santiago Bernabeu.

He emphasised that it is ingrained in Real Madrid’s tradition to advance to another final.

“It’s time to take Real Madrid where it belongs, to the Champions League final”, he said.

Vinicius Jr also commented on the exceptional performance of veteran midfielder Toni Kroos in Real’s opening goal at the Allianz Arena, highlighting that the German maestro effortlessly set it up for him.

“It was a gift from Toni Kroos, he made it easy for me to score that goal. It’s now time for a magic night at the Bernabéu”, he told Movistar.

Vinicius Jr has now scored in three straight Champions League semi-finals in the last three seasons and will look to be impressive once more in the second leg.
