Black Galaxies secure victory over Togo in friendly ahead of Nigeria clash

The Black Galaxies continued their preparations for the 2024 CHAN qualifiers with a 2-0 victory over Togo in an international friendly on Tuesday in Lome.

Ghana dominated their West African neighbours at the Stade de Kégué as they fine-tuned strategies for the upcoming clash against Nigeria.

Albert Amoah of Asante Kotoko set the tone with an early opener in the 3rd minute, while Yakubu Issah doubled Ghana’s lead in the 27th minute.

Mas-Ud Didi Dramani’s side displayed confidence and cohesion as they executed their game plan effectively.

The friendly forms part of Ghana’s rigorous preparations for the crucial two-legged qualifier against Nigeria.

The first leg is set to take place in Ghana on Sunday, December 22, 2024, with the return leg scheduled for Saturday, December 28, 2024, in Nigeria.

The Black Galaxies are seeking to replicate their success from the previous CHAN qualifiers, where they eliminated Nigeria via penalties after a dramatic 2-2 aggregate draw.

Coach Dramani remains focused on fine-tuning his squad to ensure victory over their fierce rivals and secure a place in the tournament once again.
