Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo has named Arsenal’s home ground, Emirates Stadium, as his favourite, leaving Gunners’ fans believing a potential move could be on the cards in the summer.
Semenyo has been heavily linked with a move to North London after an impressive season with the Cherries.
The ambipedal forward has scored seven times in the ongoing season and provided four assists.
Arsenal have long been linked with Semenyo, who is seen as a viable option to help bolster the Gunners’ forward line.
Calls from fans of the club to get Semenyo into the team have grown louder following injuries to Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, and Gabriel Jesus this term.
Semenyo’s possible addition is seen as a step in the right direction for Arsenal, who are on course to finish the season in the Premier League top four after running out of steam in their title push.
A number of fans from the club have pinned their inability to compete for major laurels to Arteta working with a thin squad, lacking the depth to compete with rivals Liverpool and Manchester City.
Speaking in an interview with BR Football, Antoine Semenyo, who has a valuation of about £50m, opted for the Emirates when asked about his favourite ground.
“Emirates [is my favourite ground], he said. For other reasons I’m not going to get into, he added when asked to clarify his choice.
Semenyo also went on to highlight Arsenal’s defence as the best he’s played against.
