Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard asserts that his team will not be intimidated by Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane as they prepare to face the German champions in the Champions League quarter-final.

“Kane is a good player, we know his quality in the box,” Odegaard acknowledged. “I think we should respect him but I don’t think we should fear anyone and we should focus on ourselves.”

Kane, who has scored 38 goals since joining Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur last summer, has been prolific against Arsenal in the past. However, Odegaard emphasizes the importance of Arsenal remaining focused on their own game.

Meanwhile, Gabriel Jesus, Arsenal’s striker, hailed Kane as “the best finisher in the world,” while manager Mikel Arteta praised his remarkable goal-scoring record over the past decade.

Despite Kane’s impressive form, Bayern Munich has faced challenges in the Bundesliga this season, trailing leaders Bayer Leverkusen by 16 points.

In contrast, Arsenal is currently leading the Premier League standings on goal difference with seven games remaining. They aim to reach the Champions League semi-finals for the first time in 15 years.

Bayern Munich’s boss, Thomas Tuchel, acknowledges Arsenal’s strong performance in the Premier League, describing them as “the best team” in the league.

Tuchel is aware of Arsenal’s strengths but believes in Bayern’s experience in the Champions League, emphasizing their intention to capitalize on it.

Regarding Kane’s familiarity with Arsenal, Tuchel finds it enjoyable for the striker to face his former club in a high-stakes match.

He is confident in Kane’s ability to contribute to Bayern’s success, highlighting the striker’s propensity to influence games positively.
