Arhinful warns Ghana about Kwesi Appiah’s tactics

There will be an assembly of the best African teams in Morocco in 2025. Ghana will hope to be among the 24 assembled.

The draw for the AFCON 2025 was held on Thursday, pitting Ghana in the same group as Sudan, Angola and Niger.

Sudan is led by former Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah who has transformed the Sudanese side since his arrival in the country last year.

That means the head coach will come up against his former side and attempt to triumph over the Black Stars.

Former Ghana international Augustine Arhinful opines this will be a difficult test.

“He knows Ghana and Ghana knows him. But we need to begin to scout what he has been doing concerning the current Sudan national team”, said Arhinful in an interview with 3Sports.

“I think he has brought professionalism and the zeal to win into the Sudanese team. So we can see from the World Cup qualifiers, that they are on top. So it is a dicey situation.” He added.

Appiah has led Sudan to a stunning run in their World Cup qualifying against Senegal, DR Congo, Togo, and fierce rivals, South Sudan.

The factors in play make Sudan a difficult opponent for the Black Stars and head coach, Otto Addo.
