African football legends gather for CAF Coaches Symposium

African football legends Jay Jay Okocha and Elhadji Diouf will join other icons like Antoine Bell and Gadji Celi at the inaugural TotalEnergies CAF AFCON Côte d’Ivoire 2023 Coaches Symposium in Abidjan.

The two-day event, scheduled for Thursday and Friday, September 12-13, will bring together 50 national team coaches from CAF Member Associations.

Notable attendees include former Cameroon goalkeeper Bell, South African defender Mark Fish, and Ghana’s Otto Addo, current coach of the Black Stars.

The star-studded lineup also features former Nigeria defender Augustine Eguavoen, Fulham legend Luis Boa Morte (now coaching Guinea-Bissau), and Senegal’s Pape Thiaw, among others.

This groundbreaking symposium aims to facilitate knowledge exchange among Africa’s top coaches.

Emerse Faé, who led Côte d’Ivoire to the final of the recent TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, will also participate, sharing insights from his successful campaign.
